Billy G. "Bill" Youngblood

Billy G. "Bill" Youngblood, age 76 of Buford, GA, died Saturday, December 31, 2011 after a long battle with Alzheimer's.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 4, 2012 from 12 noon until 3:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Benton House of Sugar Hill, the facility who lovingly cared for Bill during his long illness, 6009 Suwanee Dam Road, Sugar Hill, GA 30518.

Bill is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary Ann Youngblood, Buford; sons and daughters in-law, Doug and Mary Youngblood and Tully and Renee Youngblood; His beloved Granddaughters, Lila and Ava Youngblood; 5 Step-granddaughters; Brother, Robert L. Youngblood.

Bill was born August 30, 1935 in Lindale, GA to the late John "Jay" and Mary Lou Youngblood. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. He earned his law degree at Atlanta Law School. He worked as an investigator for the Georgia State Insurance Department and then as Assistant Deputy Insurance Commissioner for the State of Georgia. Bill was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will truly be missed by a family who loved him dearly.
