Grace Mozelle Benfield Pruitt

Funeral services for Grace Mozelle Benfield Pruitt, age 92 of the Batesville Community, Clarkesville, will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 from the Hillside Memorial Chapel. Mr. Robert Nichols will officiate with interment to follow the service in Providence Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Pruitt died Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Habersham Home West.

Born September 24, 1919 in Habersham County, Mrs. Pruitt was the daughter of the late Luther and Stella Arrendale Benfield. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church and she worked for 35 years at LaPrade's Camp on Lake Burton. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pruitt is preceded in death by her husband O. L. Pruitt, sisters Cora Lee Moore and Clara Burrell, and brothers Latt, Jim, and Gene Benfield.

Survivors include sisters Mary Jo Benfield Carr of Tillamook, Oregon and Lillian Benfield Ward of Clarkesville, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, as well as special family friends The Wallace Nichols Family.
