Ethel Sutton Broome

Mrs. Ethel Sutton Broome age 88 of Gainesville, passed away on Saturday December 31, 2011 at Willow Wood Nursing Home following an extended illness.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Monday January 02, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Reverend Brian Malcom and Reverend Robert Kersh will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday January 01, 2012 from 6:00-9:00 p.m.at the funeral home

Mrs. Broome was born on April 25th, 1924 to the late Arthur Albert Sutton and Ida Stephens Sutton. A lifetime resident of Hall County, she worked for Chicopee Mills and was a Homemaker. She was a member of the Baptist faith, and a member of Montgomery Memorial Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Mitchell Broome.

Mrs. Broome is survived by her husband of 67 years, Emory Broome, son and daughter-in-law, Hayward and Bonnie Broome of Gainesville, daughters, Glenda Couch of Flowery Branch, daughter, Brenda Broome of Cleveland, 5 grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren.
