James William McPherson

James William McPherson, 84, of Jefferson, died Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at the Columbia Medical Center, Columbia, S.C.

The family will hold a private memorial at the graveside. Burial was at Warsaw Cemetery, Johns Creek.

James was born June 21, 1927 in Cuba, Forsyth County, Georgia, to the late William Aze McPherson, Sr. and Daisy Mae Clark McPherson. He spent the majority of his life working as a mechanic and long haul truck driver.

He is survived by his son, Cecil McPherson, Atlanta, Georgia, and 5 daughters and their spouses Elaine McPherson Gadell and husband Kent, Dallas, TX, Belinda McPherson Savadge and husband Dave, Jefferson, GA, Helen McPherson Wright and husband Russ, Winder, GA, Sandra McPherson Kardos and husband Chris, Clayton, NC and Kim McPherson Smith and husband Darryl, Atlanta, GA, one brother William (Bill) Aze McPherson, Jr., Ball Ground, GA, and sister and brother-in-law Edwina and Art Hein, Oxford, GA, 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Barbara Bailey McPherson, his brothers, Edward Clyde McPherson, Arizona, Quill, Will and Marshall McPherson, half sisters, Mertle Campbell, Clara Mae Bates, Edna Rozar and Azzie Lee Harrison.
