J.D. Thomason

J.D. Thomason, of Ellijay, formerly of Cumming, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2011. J.D. was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church. He loved fishing and farming. He was preceded in death by his father, Dillard Thomason.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Reta Thomason of Ellijay; mother, Monteen Thomason of Ellijay, formerly of Cumming; children, Karen (Mickey) Wheeler of Ellijay, Russell Thomason of Ellijay, Will (Valerie) Thomason of Atlanta; grandchildren, Dillon and Jake Wheeler, Drew Thomason; and other loving relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 28th at 11:00 am at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Monroe Gunter and Rev. John Reece officiating. Interment will follow in Yukon Cemetery in Ellijay. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Wednesday from 9:00 am until hour of service.
