Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson, Ga. announces the death of Mr. James Edward Hayes, Sr. age 71, of Hoschton, Ga., who passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2011 at his residence following a period of declining health.
A native of Jackson County, Mr. Hayes was a son of the late Hubert L. and Lillie Mae Self Hayes. Mr. Hayes had worked for Wicks Mobile Homes in Winder, Ga. for over twenty years and also at Mitsubishi in Braselton, Ga. for over 9 years before retiring. Mr. Hayes was a long time member at Center United Methodist Church in Hoschton, Ga.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Martha Hayes, Hoschton, Son, James Edward (Karen) Hayes Jr. McDonough, Ga. Daughter, Nancy (Larry) Christmas, Douglasville, Ga. Son, Eddie (Debbie) Hayes, Athens, Ga. Son, Keith Hayes, Hoschton, Ga. grandchildren, Will Harms, Shane Harms, Tyler Hayes, Tiffany Hayes, William Harms and Jonathan Harms, Kari Hayes, Jessica Hayes, Robert Hayes, Jacob Hayes, Alicia Hayes, Caleb Hayes, Savannah Hayes, Great Grandchildren, and Ben Harms and a number of other relatives.
