Dorothy A. "Dot" Robinson

Dorothy A. "Dot" Robinson, age 60, of Alto, Georgia, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2011, at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center, following a sudden illness.



Ms. Robinson was born on August 11, 1951, in Turnerville, Georgia; a daughter of the late Hershel and Corrine Waldrup Gibson. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Hazel Parker and her brothers, Carl, Dillard, and Charles Gibson. Ms. Robinson worked at Fieldale Farms in Murrayville, Georgia and was of the Baptist faith.



Survivors include her daughters, Cindy Phillips, Cornelia, GA and Rhonda Elrod, Hollywood, GA; son, Dennis Dean, Baldwin, GA; sister, Betty Franklin, Banks County, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Chester and Gloria Jean Gibson, Toccoa, GA; and grandchildren, Heather Elrod, Samantha Phillips, Misty Phillips, Christopher Elrod, and Cheyenne Dean.



Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 26, 2011, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia with Rev. Roy G. Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in the Welcome Home Baptist Church Cemetery.



The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon just prior to the funeral service on Monday.
