Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Pruitt, age 84, of Cumming passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2011.
Mrs. Pruitt was a member of Corinth Baptist Church and was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Lamar "Spud" Pruitt. She will always be remembered for her loving nature, good sense of humor and love of life.
Survivors include her daughters and sons in law, Sandra and Michael Johns, Brenda and Billy Mullinax, JoAnne and Darrell Burruss, all of Cumming and Debra and Daniel Densmore, of Dawsonville and son and daughter in law, Rev. Wilson and Jane Pruitt, of Cumming. Sisters and brother in law, Wansley and Emerson Payne, of Cumming and Shirley Henderson, of Alto. Brothers and sisters in law, Winford Pruitt, of Demorest, Hobart and Sarah Pruitt, of Ellenwood, Aubrey and Wilma Pruitt, and Jerry Pruitt, both of Roswell. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Sister in law, Adalee Pruitt, of Cumming; special care giver, Betty Hudgins; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 17, 2011, 11:00 a.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rex Byrd, Rev. Butch Garrett, and Rev. Cecil Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow in the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home Thursday, from 6 to 9 p.m., Friday, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service
