William Andrew (Jr.) Cantrell

William Andrew Cantrell, Jr., 81 died on December 13, 2011, with his family and friends by his side in Helen, Georgia.

Mr. Cantrell, called Junior, was born on December 6, 1930 in Helen, Georgia to parents William & Mary Abernathy Cantrell. Junior graduated from Nacoochee Valley High School and attended Truett-McConnell College. He was a Korean War Veteran and was employed by Talon, Inc. for 41 years. Junior was a member of Chattahoochee United Methodist Church.

Mr. Cantrell was preceded in death by parents; brother and sister-in-law: Russell and Mary Frances Cantrell; brothers: Thomas Cantrell, Edward Cantrell, Willard Cantrell: brothers-in-law, Charles Gee, J.V. York, brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Ray and Margie Ferguson; sister-in-law: Lorene Roberts: brothers-in-law: Wade Ferguson and Henry Ferguson.

Survivors include his wife: Loretta Ferguson Cantrell; daughter and son-in-law: Tina and Sam Sutton; son and daughter-in-law: Billy and Carla Cantrell; grandchildren: Dewey Sutton, Jamie and Sandy Bradford, Colby and Kaylee Cantrell; sister and brother-in-law: Ruth and Jason Schofield; sister: Lois Gee; sisters-in-law: Ethel Cantrell, Barbara Cantrell, Idell Cantrell; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Jay and Beulah Ferguson and Felton and Betty Ferguson, sisters-in-law: Nora Lee Ferguson and Kathy Ferguson.

Funeral services will be held at Chattahoochee United Methodist Church at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 16, 2011 with Rev. Mike Irvin and Rev. Bobby Hattaway. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2011 from 2-4 and 6 to 8 pm at Barrett Funeral Home.
