Perna Tench Thomason

Perna Tench Thomason, age, 93, of Gainesville, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2011 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born on May 14, 1918, in Banks County, she was the daughter of the late Holland Louis and Gudule Forrester Tench. Mrs. Thomason was a member of Mud Creek Baptist Church and was retired from Seamore Foods. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and canning vegetables.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Thomason was also preceded in death by her husband, Terry Elvin Thomason; daughter, Sylvia Crump; brother, Phil Tench.

Survivors include daughter, Goldie Free of Flowery Branch; daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Donald Evans of Gainesville; 10 grandchildren; Frankie Evans, Teresa Rundles, Renee Evans, Kendra Miller, Lynn Puckett, Robin DeMonia, Steven Bryant, Rodney Crump, James Crump and Cindy Motes, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services are 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 14, 2011, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Ray Turpin officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
