Betty E Waters

Mrs. Betty E. Waters, 92, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2011 from an extended illness.

A native of Gainesville, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Bertie Bonds. Mrs. Waters was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, and community worker. She was retired from the Gainesville City School System. She was long time member of Central Baptist Church where she was involved in teaching children and active in Sunday School. Among the many hobbies and talents she possessed, cooking was one of her favorite past times. Christmas was Mrs. Waters' favorite time of the year as she was able to share the real meaning of the season with others which is Jesus. The delight and joy of her life was being surrounded by her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Waters was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Randolph Waters; brothers, Leilan Bonds and Loy Bonds.

Mrs. Waters is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Randall and Judy Waters, Oakwood; daughter, Connie W. Davis and late son-in-law, John Wilson Davis, Gainesville; grandsons, Scott and Gay Waters; Chris and Shelley Davis; granddaughter, Ginger and Chris Hulsey; great-grandchildren, Matthew and Ryan Waters; Chele' and Cassie Davis; Dayton, Chance, and Jake Hulsey; dear sisters-in-law, Mrs. Bernice Bonds and Mrs. Carolyn Bonds; and a number of loved of nieces and nephews.
