Berta Ann Abernathy, age 73, of Gainesville passed away on Saturday, December 03, 2011.
Berta attended Christian Hill Baptist Church in Clermont. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lanier Abernathy, parents, Newt and Dola Forrester, daughter, Sybal Darlene Porter and 3 brothers and 5 sisters.
Survivors include, son, Wayne Taylor of Sevierville, TN; grandchildren, Jason Porter, Joshua Wayne Porter, Holly Duncan Porter, Angel Taylor and Wade Taylor and 5 great grandchildren; nephews, Jarred Forrester, Patrick Forrester, Ricky Gilstrap and Wallace Ravan; brother and sister in law, William A. and Elaine Forrester of Oakwood; sister, Hazel Oliver of Atlanta; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. at Little and Davenport Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Ellis officiating and burial in Holly Springs Baptist Chur
