Harold "Harry" J. Wohlert

Harold "Harry" J. Wohlert, age 72, of Clarkesville died November 28, 2011 at his residence. A celebration of his life was held Wednesday, November 30, 2011.

Born in Hartland, Illinois on October 1, 1939 Harry was the son of the late Henry C. and Rosina Kloeckner Wohlert. Harry was a United States Air Force Veteran. He worked for Commonweath Edison for 11 years and Florida Power and Light (NextEra Energy) for 25 years. Harry was a lineman and later a labor manager, but his love was as a lineman. After moving from Palm Beach Gardens, Florida to Clarkesville, Georgia in 1996, Harry started his repairs and remolding business where many of the buildings and structures in the Clarkesville community are restored to their original beauty as a result of his passionate work. In addition to his parents, Harry is preceded in death by a brother Richard Wohlert and sister Nancy Ponsler.

Survivors include his wife Marie Brooke Wohlert of Clarkesville, Georgia, son Michael Wohlert (Priscilla) of Lake Worth, Florida and their children Weston and Elle, daughter Michelle Yales (Scott) of Chatham, New Jersey, and sisters Pat Pierce of Woodstock, Illinois and Donna Wolf (Mat) of McHenry, Illinois
