Nathan Norton

Madison County Chapel in Danielslville, announces memorial services for Nathan Norton, 75, of Danielsville who passed away at the Athens Regional Medical Center on Wednesday morning.

Born in Banks County, he was the son of the late Noah and Belle Savage Norton and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Norton Jennings. He was a semi-retired subcontractor with Alltel, was employed part-time as a caretaker with Rossie Lake Branch Farms in Bishop and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Amos Norton of the residence; a son, Joel Norton of Jefferson; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Memorial services are shceduled for Friday at 2 PM from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home in Danielsville, located at 42 Booger Hill Rd., with Rev. Kevin Purcell officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1 PM until the time of service.
