Doris Davis Head

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday November 26, 2011, at Dunagan Chapel United Methodist Church for Mrs. Doris Davis Head, 84, of Gainesville who passed away on Friday, November 25, 2011. Rev. Jim Sneed and Rev. Tim House will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home Friday, November 25, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, November 26, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Mrs. Head will lie in state at the church from 3:30 p.m. until the service hour.

A native of Hall county, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Imogene Buffington Davis. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband "Bud" Head sister, Wilma Nell Davis.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Roger Little of Gainesville, grandson and wife, Ashley and Holly Little of Maysville, grandson and wife, Alex and Jessica Little of Gainesville; great granddaughter, Ella Katherine Little of Maysville as well as several nieces and nephews.
