Barbara A. Knight

Barbara A. Knight, 68, of Dawsonville passed away Tuesday November 22, 2011 at her home following a period of declining health.

Born July 23, 1943 in Yonkers, NY to the late Michael and Elizabeth Marshall, Mrs. Knight had lived in Dawson County for the past 6 years having moved from Wilmington Island. A homemaker at her death, she was a former executive secretary and attended Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church. Barbara was also preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Knight.

Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Ronald Knight, Dawsonville; children, Don and Shannon Knight, Abbeville, AL, Michelle and Tony White, Cumming; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sisters, Debbie Conley, New Jersey, Wendy Marshall, New Hampshire.

Memorial services will be held Saturday November 26, 2011 at 11 o'clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Brian Higgins will officiate.

The family will receive friends Saturday beginning at 10 a.m.
