Edith White Couch

Mrs. Edith White Couch, age 86, of Clermont, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2011 after an extended illness.

Edith was the daughter of the late W. H. (Homer) White and Una Abercrombie White.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Benjamin (Ben), grandson, Evan Truelove and step mother, Sarah Abercrombie White.

She is survived by her children and spouses, Ralph and Joan Couch of Murrayville, Ronald and Deborah Couch, Linda and Nelson Truelove, Steve and Angie Couch of Clermont. Grandchildren and spouses, Carol and Mark Parnell, Homer Couch, Philip and Samantha Dunn, Marc and Tonya Dunn, Jenny and Jeff Gearin, Jason and Stacie Couch, Amanda and Shane Grier, Andrew and Tiffany Truelove, Sarah and Kayla Couch. Great grandchildren, Christian Couch, Kaitlin Dunn, Melinda Patrick, Kamryn, Mark, and Kate Grier, Maggie and Madison Truelove. Sisters Wanda Parks, Edna Barrett, and Homerell Parks. Brothers and sisters-in-law Leon and Ruth White, Travis (Bill) and Ruth White. A number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Edith was of the Christian faith and had attended Mt. Zion #2 Baptist Church of Murrayville a number of years. She used her musical talents, volunteering with a singing group at New Horizons North nursing home and various other nursing homes over the years.

She was retired from Fieldale Murrayville plant and was also a homemaker for many years.

Arrangements are with Strickland Funeral, Clermont.

Visitation will be held Sunday, November 20 from 1:00 - 9:00 p.m. and on Monday until the time of the funeral.

The funeral service will be held on Monday at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with interment in the Wahoo Baptist Church cemetery.
