Cornelius Rucker

Mr. Cornelius Rucker, age 94, of Commerce, GA died Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at Northridge Medical Center.

Mr. Rucker was born in Commerce, GA to the late Dallas and Florence Colbert Rucker. He was a member of Neals Grove Baptist Church and was retired from Harmony Grove Mill.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Rucker was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Nell Rucker; son, Cornolia Rucker and daughter, Betty Rucker.

Mr. Rucker is survived by his daughters, Floncie Walker (Bonnie) of Hoschton, Ruby Williams (Otis) and Shirley Reed (Samuel) all of Commerce; sons, Columbus Rucker (Alice) and Willie James Rucker all of Commerce; sisters, Sophia Carruth of Commerce, Zurlee Davis and Chester Fluellen both of Columbus, OH and Geardine Tabor of Detroit, MI.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, at 1 PM, at Neals Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday night from 6 to 7 PM.
