Hazel Brown Propes

Mrs. Mrs. Hazel Brown Propes, 91 of Gainesville died Sunday November 13, 2011 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Born in Cumming, Georgia, Mrs. Propes had lived in Hall County for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Claud L. and Alma Jo Denson Brown. She was a graduate of the Flowery Branch High School class of 1938. Mrs. Propes worked as a postal clerk for the Flowery Branch Post Office and later retired from the Oakwood Post Office. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Oakwood.
In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, B.H. Propes, Jr.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law; Hardy and Renee' Propes, Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law; Kittie and Steve Ross, Dahlonega; grandson and wife; Zach and Katie Propes, Gainesville; brother, Claud L. Brown, Jr., Watkinsville; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Private Graveside services will be held Wednesday November 16, 2011 at the Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Phil Williams will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Tuesday November 15, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to Eagle Ranch, P.O. Box 7200, Chestnut Mountain, Ga. 30502 or one's favorite charity.
