Damon "D.F." Franklin Farmer, age 79, of Gainesville passed away Sunday, November 13, 2011.

Graveside services will be 11:00 am Thursday at Hillside Memorial Gardens in Gainesville with Rev. Earl Jarrard officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral.

Survivors include his 85 year old sister, Tallie Sue Hulsey of Gainesville; son and daughter in law, Vernon and Doris Farmer of Dahlonega; mother of his children, Nettie Pophom of Gainesville; grandchildren, Melissa and Jose Moreno, Laurie and Tim Abercrombie, Katy and Steven Andre, Chris Manus, Jason Kee, David Farmer and 10 great grandchildren.
