Johnny P. Davenport

Johnny P. Davenport, 68, of Dawsonville passed away Sunday November 6, 2011 at Mountain View Nursing Center following a period of declining health.

Born November 7, 2011 in Fayetteville, GA to the late John and Opal Davenport, he had lived in Dawson County for 10 years having moved from Cumming. Mr. Davenport was a former driver for Joe K. Smith Trucking and was also preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

Surviving are his children, Tony and Michelle Davenport, Jasper, David and Sherry Davenport, Dahlonega, Wendy and Michael Shaw, Dawsonville; brothers, Thomas Davenport, Harry Davenport, Frankie Davenport, Allen Davenport, Ronnie Davenport, Ricky Davenport; grandchildren, Kimberly Davenport, Kelsey Davenport, Brandon Shaw, Dakoda Shaw, Auston Davenport, Maranda Pruett, Devin Pruett, Karen Reed; great grandsons, Aaron James Cantrell, III, and Matthew Pruett.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday November 9, 2011 at 7 p.m. at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Eric Bailey will officiate.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 until 7.
