Thomas Lee Whitsel

Mr. Thomas Lee Whitsel, age 72, of Commerce, GA died Friday, November 4, 2011 at his residence.

Mr. Whitsel was born in Jackson County to the late Andy and Bell Roberts Whitsel. He was a member of Rogers Baptist Church and was retired from Mt. Vernon Mills.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Whitsel was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Tench Whitsel.

Mr. Whitsel is survived by his daughter, Sandy Cooke; son, Mike Whitsel; and sister, Betty David all of Commerce; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, November 6 at Rogers Baptist Church Cemetery. Interment will follow in the cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday night from 6 to 8 PM.
