James Edward Wimpy

Mr. James Edward Wimpy, age 88, of Hapeville, Ga. died November 2, 2011.

Mr. Wimpy was the son of the late Raliegh Wimpy and Cona Grizzle Wimpy. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy Wimpy White. Stepfather, Luther Head and brother Carlton Wimpy.

Edward was born in Dahlonega, Ga. He was retired from Northwest Airlines and had lived in Hapeville, Ga. for 50 years.

He is survived by his wife, Lillie Wimpy, Hapeville, Ga.; granddaughters, Wendy Holmes, Hapeville, Ga., Tiffany (Conan) Collier, Riverdale, Ga.; brother and sister-in-law, R. F. Wimpy and Blonnie Wimpy, Dahlonega, Ga.; half-brother, James Allen Head, Dahlonega, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Michael Holmes, Aston Collier, and Destiny Collier; great-great-grandchildren, James Holmes and Joseph Holmes; special family member, Jacky Fortner and Mike Reyneke. Numerous other relatives also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11AM Saturday November 5, 2011 at Concord Baptist Church in Dahlonega, Ga.

Rev. Dean Bryant and Rev. Lyman Caldwell will officiate.

Interment will follow in Dahlonega Memorial Park Cemetery.
