William "Bill" J. Phillips, Jr.,

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Alta Vista Cemetery for Mr. William "Bill" Phillips, Jr., 90, of Gainesville. The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The Reverend Dr. Bill Coates will officiate.

A native of Gainesville, he was a member of First Baptist Church. He was an Army Air Corp Veteran of WWII. He was retired in Management from Chicopee "Johnson & Johnson" Manufacturing Company. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelors Degree.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Lila Phillips of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Wes and Nancy Phillips of Gainesville; daughter, Gay Templin of Alpharetta; sister, Betty Woodliff of Gainesville; four grandchildren, Matthew Templin, Katie Anna Phillips, Kelsey Templin and Leslie Phillips.
