Daniel Earl Besterfeldt

Daniel Earl Besterfeldt, Jr., 67, of Suwanee, GA died on October 16, 2011 at Embracing Hospice House. Born in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of the late Daniel and Ruth Besterfeldt.
Dan had an Electronics degree from Devry, Electrical Engineering degree from Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy, an Industrial Engineering degree from Lehigh University and an International Management degree from Penn State. He retired as Vice president of the Wireless division of Lucent Technology in 2001. Following his retirement, he spent his time doing volunteer work in his neighborhood, Grand Cascades, and at First Redeemer Church ministries including counseling with There's Hope for the Hungry and supporting Whispering Hope Pregnancy Center.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Bonnie Besterfeldt of Suwanee, GA; children, Lauren Besterfeldt of Salt Lake City, UT and Jason Scott (Michelle) Besterfeldt of Dallas, TX; sister, Barbara Greco of Denver, CO; brother-in-law, Clark McClure of Greensboro, NC; and nieces, Anna Greco and Jeanette Hughes.
Funeral services will held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 19 from 1:00
