Shirley H. Hauntsman

Mrs. , age 76, of Danielsville, GA died Monday, October 17, 2011 at Heritage Healthcare of Athens.

Mrs. Hauntsman was born in Pelham, New Hampshire to the late Herman and Vera Carter. She was a member of Cabin Creek Baptist Church and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hauntsman was preceded in death by her husband, Walter J. Hauntsman, Sr. and sister, Marjorie Baney.

Mrs. Hauntsman is survived by her daughter, Dianne Sperre (Mark) of Marion, MA; sons, David Hauntsman, Sr. (Martha) of Buford, GA, Walter J. Hauntsman, Jr. (Leigh Anne) of Piedmont, SC and Stan Hauntsman (Donna) of Danielsville, GA; brothers, Richard Carter of Windham, NH and Eugene Carter of Pelham, NH; sister, Anne McClain of Watkinsville, GA; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 3 PM, Thursday, October 20 at Cabin Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Stan Hauntsman and Mr. Bobby McClain officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday night from 6 to 8 PM.
