Kenneth Ernest Gilpin

Kenneth Ernest Gilpin, 87, of Cumming, GA died on October 9, 2011. Born in New Jersey, he was the son of the late James and Jennie Gilpin. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Irma Gilpin.

Kenneth served in the US Army Air Force during WW II and was a member of American Legion Post #307. He was also a member of the Sheriff's Association. Kenneth loved history, trivia and computer research. He was an avid Braves fan.

He is survived by his children, Ruth (Mike) Grella of Cumming, GA and Kenneth (Pam) Gilpin of Parker, FL; brother, Val Gilpin of Texas; grandchildren, Michael, Patrick, Thomas, Rebecca, Joshua, Kenny and Susan; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Logan and Baby T; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Kenneth will be inurned with his wife, Irma, at a graveside service at Georgia National Cemetery on Friday, October 14, 2011 at 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Sgt. D.P. Land Memorial Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police, P. O. Box 1374, Cumming, GA 30028.
