Willie Dorsey

Mr. Willie Darrell Dorsey, age 66, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away Saturday, October 08, 2011 at Gateway Nursing Home in Cleveland, Georgia following a brief illness.

Funeral services for Mr. Dorsey will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday, October 13, 2011 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Reverend Gary Merritt will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm Thursday prior to the funeral.

Mr. Dorsey was born November 11, 1944 in Buford, Georgia and was the son of the late John Clayton Dorsey and Lillie Bell Tabor Dorsey. He was a retired truck driver with Pilgrim Pride Feed Mill.

Mr. Dorsey is survived by his wife of 43 years Clara Ramsey Dorsey of Gainesville; daughter, Rhonda Lashae Dorsey of Gainesville; sisters, Linder Carothers, Ethel Dorsey and Brenda Dorsey all of Maryland; Melissa Ware, Eleanor Stringer and Genese Randolph all of Gainesville; brother, John Clayton Dorsey, Jr. of California; step-mother, Edna Dorsey of Gainesville; and several nieces, nephews and other family members also survive.
