William L. Turner

William L. (Bili) Turner, 53, of Lumpkin County passed away October 1st, 2011 after a prolonged illness. Mr. Turner was originally from Trussville, AL.

He is preceded in death by his father Woodrow Wilson Turner and mother Betty Gene Russell, sister Patricia Ann Yearty.

He is survived by his wife Deanna (Dede) Turner, children, Layla Nicole Turner, River Stone Turner and Savannah Nicole Turner and a special "son" Gage Rider all of Dahlonega; brother Randall (Randy) W. Turner of Marathon, Fl; sister in law, Julia (Paul) Stephens of Oxford, AL; brother in law, Dennis Yearty of Douglasville, GA; nieces and nephews, R. Christy Cobb of Montgomery, AL; Ryan Meadow (Chrissy) of Carrollton, GA; Jennifer Yates (Jason) of Breman, GA; Brett (Chasity) of Panama City Beach, FL; Tristian Turner of Jasper, AL; Miranda Turner of Marathon, FL; Paige (Jessie) Stephens of Oxford AL; as well as several other grand-nieces & nephews.

Mr. Turner was a retired engineering manager for Novatis Corporation of Basel Switzerland. He is best remembered as the dynamic guitarist of a local musical group "Third Stone" who frequently played local establishments in Dahlonega, GA such as Carouso's & Johnny B's.

The family will receive friends on Saturday October 8th from 4-8 pm at the funeral home with a service following.
