Lurene Wheeler Davis

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Lurene Wheeler Davis, Mrs. Davis passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2011. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Thursday, September 29, 2011 from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Chris Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Davis was born on February 14, 1922 in Towns County to the late James Wheeler and Stella Lunsford Wheeler. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Davis is preceded in death by her husband Roy Nelson Davis, sons, Roy James Davis and Blaine Davis, brothers, Loyd Wheeler and Samuel W. Wheeler.

Survivors include her son, Burton Davis of Cleveland; sons and daughters in law, Robert and Darlene Davis, Cleveland, Boyd and Pam Davis, Cleveland, Bruce and Betty Davis, Cleveland, Barry and Diane Davis, Cornelia, Benny and Susan Davis, Central, South Carolina; brother, Doyle Wheeler, Cleveland; thirteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday beginning at 5:00pm.
