Edward P. "Eddie" West

Funeral services for Edward P. "Eddie" West, age 80, of Clarkesville will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 25, 2011 from the Hillside Memorial Chapel. Rev. Tim Burpee will officiate with interment to follow in Hillside Gardens.

Mr. West Died Thursday, September 22, 2011 following a brief illness.

Born in Bogart, Georgia on March 15, 1931, Mr. West was the son of the late Wilburn and Bertha Palmer West. He was a United States Air Force Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. Mr. West was a tool and die machinist with Crowe Manufacturing Company. In addition to his parents Mr. West is preceded in death by brothers T.J., Hoyt, Roy, and Herman West, and sisters Rosie Crowe, Eva Harper, Kathy Howard, and Polly Hendricks. >

Survivors include his wife Lou West of Clarkesville, daughter Cindy Byrd of Kennesaw, brother Robert West of Demorest, sister Jeanette Palmer of Cleveland, grandson Kevin Byrd of Kennesaw, and a number of nieces and nephews.
