Roy T. "Charlie" Jones

Mr. Roy T. "Charlie" Jones, age 76, of Dahlonega, GA died Monday, September 19, 2011, at his home.

Charlie was born in Hoschton, GA. March 11, 1935. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Dahlonega. Charlie was an electrician and worked with Dwayne Gilreath for 37 years.

He was the son of the late Zed and Viola Mauldin Jones and was also preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Kate Jones. Charlie is survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Corene Jones, Dahlonega, and Loy & Betty Jones, Dahlonega; special friends, Betty Justus, Dwayne Gilreath, Brenda Gilreath, and Gail Klath. A number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Dahlonega.

Mr. Jones will lie in state at the church on Wednesday from 1:30 PM until 2 PM

Rev. Gerald Edmondson and Rev. Michael Rodgers will officiate.

Interment will follow in Bethlehem-Jones Chapel Cemetery in Dahlonega.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega on Tuesday from 5 PM until 9 PM.

Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega is in charge of the arrangements.
