Helen Bell Whitmire

Funeral Services are scheduled for 3:00p.m. Thursday September 22, 2011 in the Ward's Funeral Home Chapel for Mrs. Helen Bell Whitmire age 72 of Buford. The Rev. Syl Adkins will officiate. Interment will follow in Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00p.m.to 3:00p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Whitmire passed away Monday September 19 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Mrs. Whitmire was born in Hall County to the late Grover Boyd Bell and Willie Sloan Bell. She graduated from Lyman Hall School in 1956; she then lived in DeKalb County for 40 years and lived the last 10 years in Gwinnett County. She was a homemaker and a member of Pine Crest Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her Husband Keith Whitmire and her Son Barry Whitmire.

Survivors include Son and Daughter-in-law, Brad & Kim Whitmire, Dacula, Daughter-in-law, Lauren Whitmire, Snellville, Granddaughters, Rebecca and Amy Whitmire, Dacula, Katie, Sarah and Beth Whitmire, Snellville, Brother and Sister-in-law, Glenn and Barbara Bell, Clermont, Nieces, Susan Bell, Gainesville, Sherri Bell, Gainesville, and Staci Stringer, Clermont and a number of other relatives.
