James Oscar Brown

Mr. James Oscar Brown, age 91, of Commerce, GA died Friday, September 16, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Brown was born in Banks County, GA to the late Charlie and Nora Brown. He was retired from Hurst Ford. In addition to his parents, Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his son, Jim Brown; daughter, Nora Ruth Brown and great-grandson, Alex Brown.

Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Alma Grace Epps Brown of Commerce; son, Jack Brown of Commerce; daughters, Kay Hill of Maysville and Tilly Wilson of Black Mountain, NC; brother, Tom Brown of Commerce; sister, Liz Connley of Athens; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, September 18 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. Henry Webb officiating. Interment will follow at Blacks Creek Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday night from 6 to 8 PM.
