Thomas M. McEachin

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Thomas (Tom) M. McEachin, 72, who passed away September 12, 2011 at Alzheimer's Care of Commerce (Ga). Born in Albany, Ga, his family moved to Miami, Fl, where he lived until graduation from Miami Senior High School. After high school, he and his wife moved to Oklahoma where Tom graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University. While at OBU, Tom toured with the USO tour group in the Far East. Tom furthered his education by graduating from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Tom and his family served as missionaries in Taiwan with the Southern Baptist International Mission Board/North American Board, SBC, where he served for 21 years before retiring.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Mary Blair McEachin, son, Jim McEachin and his wife, Shannon, son, Scott McEachin, and his wife Felicia, son, Joe McEachin, and his partner, Chris, grandchildren, Lauren McEachin Bone, her husband Brian, Samantha McEachin Reeves and husband, Neal, Graham McEachin, Sheena McEachin, Jacob McEachin and Clayton, McEachin. Also surviving are Tom's mother, Louise McEachin, brother, Wayne McEachin and his wife, Nina, sister, Winnelle Marsengill, her husband, Dan. Also surviving are two brothers-in
