Harriet Barnett Shoemaker Reichard

Harriet Barnett Shoemaker Reichard, 93, of Cumming, GA passed away Friday, September 9, 2011 at her residence. She moved to Cumming in 2002 from New Bethlehem, PA. She was a member of Cumming First Baptist Church and was very active with the Forsyth County Senior Center.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Parker and Eva Irene Barnett; husbands, Ozni Henry Shoemaker and Alfred C. Reichard; children, infant girl and son, Herbert Leroy Shoemaker; sisters, Irene Magnus, Marie McEwen, Maxine Wolcott; and brother, Joseph Barnett.

She is survived by her daughter, H. Joanne and Jim Earley of Cumming, GA; daughter-in-law, Sylvia Shoemaker of Distant, PA.; sister, Ilene Crawford of Indiana, PA; brother, Byron Barnett of New Bethlehem, PA.; 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Alcorn Funeral Home Chapel, Hawthorn, PA. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 17, 2011 from 12:00 p.m. until service time.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Cumming First Baptist Church, Forsyth County Senior Center or to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
