Mrs. Jessie Wanda Charles, 71, of Gainesville died August 24, 2011. Mrs. Charles was a member of Free Chapel Worship Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Flora Phillips Watkins; first husband, F. Lamar Funderburk, Sr.; second Husband, Bobby Willis Charles; daughter, N. Elise Glogovsky; brothers, David, Jerry and Leon Watkins. Survivors include sons and daughter in law, Alvin L. Funderburk of Gainesville, Lamar and Nanette Funderburk, Jr, Franklin, SC.; daughters and sons in law, F. Denise and Billy Williams of Gainesville, D. Elaine Funderburk and James E. Marlowe of Gainesville; brother and sister in law, Thomas and Alice Watkins of Dahlonega;, , Sisters, Mandy Lou Franklin, Gracie Mae Lance, Juanita Helton and Nancy Gooch, all of Cleveland, GA., Mary Frances Peeks of Florida; 17 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday August 27, 2011 at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Wards Funeral Home. The Rev. Calvin Gooch will officiate. Interment will be in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens in Cumming. The family will receive friends Thursday and Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Wards Funeral Home, Gainesville, Georgia.
