Larry Michael Branch, Sr

Larry Michael Branch, Sr., age 62, of Clarkesville, Georgia went home to be with our Lord on Monday, August 22, 2011, at his residence following a brief illness.

Mr. Branch was born in Thomasville, Georgia, on June 24, 1949, to the late Lawrence and Lou Nell Hand Branch. He was a member of Harvest Christian Church. Mr. Branch proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, and he was a truck driver for many years. Mr. Branch was an avid fisherman and hunter.

Survivors include his loving wife of 10 years Bonnie Kay Donaldson Branch, Clarkesville, GA; daughter, Charice Lester, Clarkesville, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Dianna and Randy Christy and Cheryl and Randy Ridley, all of Dahlonega, GA and Ginger and Timmy Head, Mt. Airy, GA; son, Larry Michael Branch Jr., Dahlonega, GA; 15 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Harvest Christian Church with Rick Cox and Dwight Dean officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with military honors provided by the Habersham County American Legion Post #84, Rabun County DAV Chapter 15, and the Grant Reeves VFW Post #7720.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour on Wednesday, August 24, 2011, at the Harvest Christian Church, 231 Harvest Church Road, Clarkesville, Georgia 30523.
