Earline Atwood Johnson

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mrs. Earline Atwood Johnson, age 82 of Cleveland. Mrs. Johnson passed away Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.

Mrs. Johnson was born on October 30, 1928 in Winston Salem, North Carolina to the late William Howard Atwood and Bessie Mabel Bowles Atwood. She had live in White County since 1984, moving form Miami, Florida. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Mossy Creek United Methodist Church as well as the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 16. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Johnson is preceded in death by her husband Marvin Johnson and son Joseph William Johnson.

Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Sandra and Al Torrens of Lawrenceville; sister and brother in law, Nancy and William Lewis of Richmond, VA.; grandsons, Chris Torrens of Suwanee and Ryan Torrens of Loganville as well as two great grandchildren.

It was Mrs. Johnson's wishes to be cremated and no public services are planned. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 from 5 to 7 pm
