Thomas Crenshaw, M.D

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of John Thomas Crenshaw, M.D., age 77, of Jefferson, who passed away on August 18, 2011. Dr. Crenshaw was born on September 2, 1933 in Maysville, GA, a son to the late Howard and Annie Morris Crenshaw. Dr. Crenshaw was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in the Korean War, a 1964 graduate of the Medical College of Georgia, a member of the Medical Association of Georgia, and was a physician in Jefferson, Georgia for 38 years, starting his private practice in 1973. Dr. Crenshaw was a member of the Jefferson First United Methodist Church. His brother, Bill Crenshaw preceded Dr. Crenshaw in death.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Goodyear Crenshaw, Jefferson, daughters, Elizabeth Ann Crenshaw, Athens, Alisa Crenshaw Hardy, Manning, SC, sisters, Jean Crenshaw, Maysville, Mary Ann Cantrell, Arkansas, brother, Kenneth Crenshaw, Jefferson, 2 grandchildren, Joe Thomas Hardy and Lacey M. Hardy.

A private family memorial service will be held on a later date. No visitation is planned.
