Gladys Marie Walker

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Gladys Marie Walker, age 91. Mrs. Walker passed away Friday, August 12, 2011 at a Doctor's Hospice of Georgia following an extended illness.

Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Saturday, August 20, 2011 from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jimmy Sargent officiating.

Mrs. Walker was born on May 29, 1920 to the late Charles Chandler and Vancy Kessler Chandler. She retired from Fulton County Parks and Recreation Department where she was employed as Office Manager. Mrs. Walker is preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Wilson Walker as well as sister Zella Gammill and brothers, Arrie Chandler and William Chandler.

Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Sandra and Bill Bush, Cleveland; son and daughter in law, Michael and Mary Walker, Jonesboro. Mrs. Walker is also survived by her three grandchildren.
