Frank Eugene Harwood

Obituary Date: Wednesday, August 10, 2011
Frank Eugene Harwood, a native of Chattanooga, Tennessee. Frank was the son of the late Thomas & Carrie Harwood. The family moved to California where Frank attended Grammer School, High School and College. Frank was employed with Avery Label Company in California. The Company decided to open a plant in Flowery Branch, Georgia, at that time Frank relocated with Avery Label to start the plant up and oversee the Maintenance and Production Departments. After start up of that plant Frank held the Manufacturing Manager's position for a number of years. Then was promoted to Plant Engineer, where he ran the Maintenance Department 3 shift operation. Frank also worked for Crystal Farms for a number of years and for American Wood Mark in Toccoa, Georgia, where he was hired to start up that plant which made American Wood Mark Cabinets.

He was responsible for overseeing the building from start to finish. His position was Maintenance Engineer. Frank was a member of the Jehovah Witness Church, Stephens Road, Gainesville. He was preceded in death by his parents, his 3 sisters, Marie Sharp, Berlie Goins and Allie Hatcher and his 7 brothers, Youl, Leland, Buddy, Alvin, Lynard, Vernon and Brady Harwood.

Survivors include, wife, Sheila Harwood of Flowery Branch, daughters, Stacy Elaine Harwood of Flowery Branch and Angelia Smith of Flowery Branch, daughter & son-in-law, Terri & Mike Baldwin of Buford, son, Frank Harwood, Jr. of California, 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, August 12, 2011 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Mark Shoemaker will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 11, 2011 from 7
