Ricky Bragg

Ricky Bragg, 48, of Dawsonville passed away Wednesday July 27, 2011 at his residence following a sudden illness.

Born January 21, 1963, Ricky was a native of Atlanta but had lived in Dawson County for a number of years. A truck driver for 23 years, he was currently employed by Lafarge. A loving husband, father, and pawpaw, he was a member of Grace and Truth Church and was preceded in death by his father, Junior Bragg.

Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Jana Bragg, Dawsonville; daughters and son in law, Tasha and Robert Curry, Cumming, Jessica Bragg, Dawsonville; mother, Shirley Bragg, Thomaston; sister, Lisa Bragg, Thomaston, brothers and sisters in law, Ed and Cheryl Bragg, Thomaston, Robert Bragg, Thomaston, James and Cyndi Bragg, Thomaston; grandchildren, Leah Curry, Landon Curry; and uncle, Jerry Keye.

Funeral services will be held Saturday July 30, 2011 at 2 o'clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Revs. Jimmy and Linda Manders will officiate. Interment will follow in Dawsonville Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Friday from 1 until 9 and Saturday from 11 until the service hour at the funeral home.
