James W. Boney Jr.

JAMES W. BONEY, JR. (Bill), 86, of Buford, Georgia, died suddenly at his home on Monday, July 25, 2011. Mr. Boney retired from the Jacksonville Electric Authority, Jacksonville, Florida, in June, 1976, after 20 years service. In 2004, he retired from Christ the King Catholic Church, Jacksonville, Florida, and he and his wife, Mary, moved to Buford, Georgia, to be near their family. He was a faithful member of the Upper Room Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church, Buford, Georgia, and a regular attendant of Zion Hill Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary J. Boney, two daughters Belinda Gindlesperger (Allen) and Janice Lindsey (Michael); four grandsons, Mitch Gindlesperger (Melissa), Andy Gindlesperger (Amanda), Derek Gindlesperger (Kelly), and Adam Lindsey (Abbey); five great-grandchildren, Mason, Miles and Merritt Gindlesperger, and Jake and Avery Lindsey. Mr. Boney directed that his body be donated to the Emory University School of Medicine. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel, 3481 Hamilton Mill Road, Buford, Georgia, at 11:00 o'clock a.m. on Thursday, July 28. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Zion Hill Baptist Church Building Fund or the First Baptist Church, Buford, Building Fund.
