Paul Eddie Powell

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Paul E. Powell, age 71, of Conyers, who passed away on Friday, July 22, 2011 at Abbey Hospice House in Social Circle, Ga. after an extended illness.

Mr. Powell was born Dec. 23, 1939 in Monroe,Ga. to the late Paul Powell and the late Jeanette Baird. Mr. Powell retired as a truck driver from ER Snell Trucking.

Mr. Powell was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Yvonne Powell.

Funeral services will be held Monday July 25, 2011 at 11AM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Rev. Burt Swick officiating. The interment will be at Woodbine Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday July 24, 2011 at the funeral home from 3-8 PM.

Survivors include his son, Tim Powell of Conyers, Ga. daughter, Laura Jean Powell of Cleveland, Ga sister, Betty Jo Baird of Clarkesville, Ga. Grandchildren, Joseph and Elizabeth Powell and Justin and Tyler Garrett, family friends, Leone Kirby of Conyers, Ga and Lisa Peek of Social Circle, Ga.
