Hattie Mae Walden

Ms. Hattie Mae Walden age 86 of Clermont, passed away Friday, July 22, 2011 at her residence following a brief illness.

Ms. Walden was born in Jackson County on February 21, 1925 to the late Thomas and Hattie Walden. She was preceded in death by brothers, Thomas Walden, Eugene Walden, Spencer Walden, Harold Walden, Louis Walden, sisters, Annie Bell Motes , Sarah Rogers, brother in law, W.L. (Apple) Savage, sisters in law, Irene Walden and Mary Walden. Ms. Walden was a member of Skitts Mountain Baptist Church. She worked as an inspector for Chicopee Manufacturing for 20 plus years.

Survivors include brothers and sister in laws L B and Mildred Walden, Lula; Hugh and Bobbie Walden, Homer; sister, Loraine Savage, Clermont; sister and brother in law Louise and Dennis Pierce, Gainesville: nephew and niece, Jimmy and Kaycee Motes, Cleveland; sisters in law, Mary Walden, Maysville, Dorothy Walden, Lula; several other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday July 25, 2011 at Skitts Mountain Baptist Church. The Rev. Kyle Savage, the Rev. Mark Gunter, and the Rev. Hugh Walden will officiate. Interment will be in the Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
