Ila Ruby Moore Ivester

Funeral services for Ila Ruby Moore Ivester, age 93, of Clarkesville will be held Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 4:00 PM from the Hillside Memorial Chapel. Rev. Austin Ivester will officiate with interment to follow in Mt. Zion Baptist Cemetery.

Mrs. Ivester died July 20, 2011 at her residence with her loving family by her side.
Born October 13, 1918 in Habersham County, Mrs. Ivester was the daughter of the late Virgil and Rebecca Carver Moore. Mrs. Ivester was a retired seamstress with Clarkesville Garment Company and she was a member of Turnerville Church of God. In addition to her parents Mrs. Ivester is preceded in death by her husband Loy Lee "K" Ivester, brother Willard Moore, and sisters Valerie Ivester, Nancy Tillotson, and Fannie Moore.

Survivors include daughters Clara Van Hook of Travelers Rest, South Carolina and Carolyn Ledford of Clarkesville, son and daughter in law Robert and Gail Ivester of Turnerville, brothers Randy and Charlie Moore of Clarkesville and Claude Moore of Dahlonega, sisters Louise Ivester, Inez McGahee, and Velma Sewell all of Turnerville, four grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, July 23, 2011 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM.
