Wilma Rose Barnette

In loving memory of Wilma Rose Barnette, 79 of Cleveland, GA a compassionate, loving, wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, and servant of Jesus Christ passed into the presence of her Lord and Savior on July 20, 2011. She was born in Dunbar, West Virginia on August 30, 1931, daughter of the late William "Willie" Bailes and Jarlene Adkinson Bailes.

She was a graduate of Bob Jones University in South Carolina and was later employed as a nurse at Stats Hospital in Charleston WV. She was active member of her church and also the Red Hat Club. She was a loving friend to many and spent many years helping with children's ministry at her local church.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Don Barnette of Cleveland; sons and daughter-in-law, John and Julie Barnette of Parkersburg, WV; William and Michelle Barnette of Winfield, WV; brothers, Robert "Bob" Bailes of Sebring, FL; John F. Bailes of Chattanooga, TN; sisters, Alberta "Bertie" Holmes of Ceres, CA; Margaret Hill of Nitro, WV; step daughter, Marilyn Hart of Casper, WY; and four grandchildren. Mrs. Barnette was preceded in death by her brother William "Bill" Bailes.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 24, 2011 at 2:00pm at Chattahoochee Baptist Church in Cleveland, GA at Duncan Bridge Road. Pastor Chris Anderson will be presiding over the memorial service.
