Ida Jane Thompson Scroggs Jenkins

Ida Jane Thompson Scroggs Jenkins, age 87, of Toccoa, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at the Stephens County Hospital.
Born in Banks County on June 26, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Cornelius Dewey Thompson and Pearl Gables Thompson. She was twice married, first to the late Fred Bascom Scroggs, second to the late A. B. Jenkins. In addition to her parents and her husbands she was preceded in death by her son, William Cecil Scroggs; grandson, Edward Scott Wheeler.
Mrs. Jenkins lived most of her life in Habersham and was a member of Baldwin Baptist Church. She was retired from Perry's Packing Company.
Survivors include son, Larry Scroggs of Demorest; daughter, Helen Holland of Demorest; daughter and son-in-law, Patsy and Jack Meadors of Carnesville; brother, Vance Thompson of North Carolina; sister, Maude Broome of Demorest; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 11:00 am Friday, July 22, 2011 at Baldwin Baptist Church with Pastor Luther Williams officiating. Interment will follow at the Baldwin City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-9 pm on Thursday.
