Norma Jean Friedman

Norma Jean Friedman, 71, of Milton, GA (and a long-time resident of Clearwater, FL) died on July 17, 2011 at Embracing Hospice House. Born in Bath, NY she was the daughter of the late Leo and Bernice Hargrave. She was also predeceased by her beloved husband, Martin Friedman; stepmother, Elizabeth Hargrave; and brothers, Leo Hargrave, Jr. and Richard Hargrave.

Norma was passionate about teaching and mentoring young people. She was a music teacher and chorus instructor for a number of years in Pinealles, Fl. She was a member of the Music Educators National Conference and the Florida Vocal Association.

She is survived by her children, Michael L. Friedman, Robin S. (Tony) DeNauro and Karen B. (Brett) Bower; brothers, Paul (Paula) Hargrave and Charles (Yvone) Hargrave; sister, Linda (Roger) Carron; and grandchildren, Melissa Baden, Katherine Baden, Sebastian Bower and Brennan Bower.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
